Provenance: Artist's Estate. Authenticated by his wife Brita Malmquist with signature Verso (see final picture).

Excellent used condition. Recently mounted and framed.

Bengt Malmquist (1928-2013) studied art and illustration in Sweden in the early 1950s. His early work was painting. In the 1960s he turned to sculpture working in stone, bronze and other materials. Many of his sculptures were commisioned works for towns and cities in Sweden. He also produced smaller works sold through galleries in Stockholm.
