Swedish Grace is the style associated with the combination of Classicism and Art Deco that the Swedes perfected in the period from around 1920-35. It was a term coined by the British critic Phillip Morton Shand after first encountering the style in 1923. It came to wider public attention in the Swedish Pavilion at the Paris Exposition of 1925. Less geometric that Art-Deco, it nonetheless captures something of the clean lines and modern forms of the best design from that era.

C G Hallberg were gold and silversmiths established in 1860. By the Twentieth Century they had become court jewellers in Sweden. Their work in silver and other metals is of the highest quality comparable to the likes of Georg Jensen, Borgila or Asprey.
