Jim Malone footed stoneware bottle vase with slipware glaze and iron marks in an Oriental style. Impressed mark with A (Ainstable).

Excellent condition. Loosely applied glaze with natural crackelure.

Jim Malone (1946 - ) is a British potter based in Cumbria. He started throwing pots in the 1970s and has been heavily influenced by the Oriental studio tradition, notably from Korea and Japan. His combination of form and subtle glazes made from locally sourced materials make his pots highly sought after. He is a Fellow of the Crafstman Potters Association of Great Britain and has exhibited worldwide.
