Wendelin Stahl brown/grey ceramic jug with oil spot glaze. Germany, c1960s. Singed with incised signature to the base. Number written in pencil 707/14.
Excellent condition.
Wendelin Stahl (1922-2000) trained as a studio potter in the late 1930s and after WWII. He went on share a studio with his long time partner Else Harney. He is best known for his subtle shapes and fine glazes especially crystaline and celadon glazes.
