Kjell Bolinder (1942 -) came to prominence in Sweden with his own ceramics studio in Hoganas in the late 1960s and he has been one of the leading ceramicists there ever since. Very much in the tradition of Berndt Friberg, his Oriental-inspired forms are masterpieces of throwing and the glazes are subtle and distinctive. His reputation is already strong and his work is represented in many museums worldwide.
