Paul Hoff limited edition porcelain bowl Gustavsberg Sweden 1989

Shaped like half a gourd, this stylish limited edition bowl was designed by Paul Hoff for Gustavsberg in 1989. It is dated on the base and is number 23/150. The blue, crackled glaze pattern gives this a soft, organic look.

Paul Hoff (1945 - ) is best known for his ceramic animal figures. He worked at Gustavsberg from 1969-74 and subsequently designed glass for Kosta Boda.  He went freelance during the 1980s. This piece dates from that time.
