Mona Morales Schildt unique bowl Kosta Sweden 1960s

A unique glass vase by Mona Morales Schildt for Kosta, Sweden. Soft, subtle blue swirls make this an outstanding piece. The vase has her name on the base, Kosta and the number unik 8-580-A. It dates from the mid 1960s.

The vase is in excellent used condition.

Mona Morales Schildt (1908-99) started out as a ceramics designer for Gustavsberg but is best know for her glass designs for Kosta where she worked from 1958-71. She is best know for her Ventana series with pieces having layers of glass of different colours that create a window effect when you look through them.  Her work is represented in numerous museums including the National Museum in Stockholm.
