Aksel Holmsen yellow guilloche enamel bracelet, Norway 1960s

Yellow guilloche enamel and silver gilt bracelet by Aksel Holmsen, Noway c 1960. Each of the six links is designed like a pair of narrow, parallel-veined leaves.

Excellent vintage condition. Stamped Norway Sterling 925S and bearing the Aksel Holmsen mark.

Aksel Holmsen trained with David-Andersen from 1889 before establishing his own workshop in Oslo. His son Ivar joined the company in 1942 and took over the company in 1950. The company, which closed in 1971, produced filigree as well as modernist enamelled and plain silver jewellery.
