Anton Michelsen silver cuff, Denmark c 1960s

A simple and elegant silver cuff with satin finish 3.7cm deep to fit wrist size of approximately 16.5 cm. The opening is 3cm and the inside has a lightly hammered apearance.

 Marks: AM logo, 'Sterling Denmark'. 

Excellent vintage condition with very minor surface marks.

Anton Michelsen (1809–1877) established his own company in Copenhagen in 1841. He became the royal jeweller, and exhibited at the Exposition Universelle in Paris in 1855. After his death, the company was run by his son and grandson. The company worked with many notable designers including Arnold Krog, Thorvald Bindesbøll, Arne Bang and Edvard Kindt-Larsen.
