Arne Johansen bracelet, Denmark 1960s

Ovoids linked with beads, this silver bracelet by leading Danish designer Arne Johansen (1927-2004) is a classic example of the simple elegance of 1960s Danish jewellery design.

The bracelet is hallmarked AJ 925 Denmark and is in excellent used condition with a simple hook clasp. It weighs 26g.

Arne Johansen was a leader in the field of modernist design in Danish jewellery in the post-war years. He began his work in Roskilde in 1954 and remained there working until the studio closed in 1993. He is best known for his sleek, simple modern designs.
