Necklace and bracelet by Valo-koru, Finland c 1970s

Necklace and bracelet by Valo Koru, Finland. The indivdual links are reminiscent of leaves or wings and measure c 2 cm across. The bracelet is approximately 19cm and has a safety chain. The necklace is around 42 cm, also with a safety chain. Both pieces have the Finniish national mark and are stamped 925 for Sterling silver. These pieces are rare, and possibly designed by Hannu Ikonen.

Excellent vintage condition. Box included.

Jorma Valo (1929-2014) was born in Russia but moved to Finland as a child. His workshop, Valo-Koru Oy, started modestly but grew to employ many including, most notably, the designer Hannu Ikonen.
