Niels Erik From hollow square cufflinks, Denmark c1970s

A stylish pair of cufflinks designed as two holllow squares, one inside the other. These cufflinks are by leading Danish jewellery maker Niels Erik From and marked Sterling, Denmark, NEFROM and 925S. They are in very good used condition, showing only minor marks commensurate with age and use.

Niels Erik From (1908-86) was a jewellery company named after their founder. They were established in Copenhagen in 1931 and produced work in varying styles in keeping with the fashions of the day. They developed modernist designs in the 1970s when these were at the height of popularity.
