Fabulous vintage necklace designed by Eigil Jensen for Anton Michelsen, Denmark c1960 in silver with each element of the 'fringe' catching the light separately.

The necklace is in excelllent vintage condition with a beautiful warm patina. It is stamped with the Anton Michelsen logo and 'Sterling Denmark'.

Eigil Jensen (1917-2002) trained with the Hans Hansen silversmithy and designed for Georg Jensen. He worked for Anton Michelsen as a silversmith and production manager from 1943 to 1983.

Anton Michelsen (1809–1877) established his own company in Copenhagen in 1841. He became the royal jeweller, and exhibited at the Exposition Universelle in Paris in 1855. After his death, the company was run by his son and grandson. The company worked with many notable designers including Arnold Krog, Thorvald Bindesbøll, Arne Bang and Edvard Kindt-Larsen.
