Swedish modernist bangle by DES Maritschnig 1970s

An uncommon and stylish hinged bangle marked Sterling, DES Maritschnig, Sweden. This bangle is very much in a 1970s style with an abstract modernist design to the front. The bangle itself has a lightly hammered finish. A real statement piece that comes in a wooden box and is a testament to the silversmith’s craft. 

The bangle is 6cm across and 19cm in circumference. It weighs 47g. The bangle is in excellent used condition with no dings or significant scratches and has a fully working hinge.
