This month we are offering some great new items across our range of Scandinavian and international categories with some new departures. There are oil paintings by Lars Millhed (1923-2004) and Fabian Lundqvist (1913-89) and a fine mix of jewellery, ceramics and glass including three different sizes of the iconic Orkidea (Orchid) vase designed in 1954 for iittala by Timo Sarpaneva. A late addition is a stunning Flickan och Duvan Ariel vase by Edvin Ohrstrom.
New to our website are four exciting Amsterdam School finds, a wall hanging newspaper holder and three patinated metal letter holders. The Amsterdam School was an architectural and design movement in that city that came to prominence in the years from c1910-40. Very much in the arts and crafts tradition, its time-frame straddles the international design movements of Art Nouveau and Art Deco but it is distinct from each.
And remember, in the UK 21st June is Father's Day!
