Oiva Toikka (1931-2019) was a leading Finnish glass designer. he started his work at the Nuutajärvi-Notsjo glass factory before moving to iittala in 1972 where he remained until his death. He is best known for his models of glass birds. Amongst his many awards he won the Lunning Prize in 1970. His work is held in museums world-wide.
