Hanne Dreutler bowl for Studio Åhus, Sweden, 1977. Signed to the base: Studio Åhus 1977 "Hed" Hanne Dreutler. This is one of the earliest pieces from Studio Åhus which was established in 1977, the year this was made.

Hannelore Dreutler (1942-2009) was a glass designer who was born in Germany but lived and worked in Sweden. She started in metalwork, including silver, but moved to designing glass for a number of Swedish factories in the 1960s and 70s. In 1977, with her husband Arthur Zimsak, she set up Studio Åhus to produce her own designs. Vicke Lindstrand worked with them briefly after he retired from Kosta. She became a prominent figure in Swedish glass design from the 1980s onwards, specialising in graal pieces and glass sculptures. Examples of her work are in the National Museum in Stockholm.
