Viktor Berndt Flygsfors smokers' set comprising a glass cigarette holder and ashtray in grey, Sweden, 1960s. The holder is 5cm by 6.5cm and the ashtray 2cm by 9 cm. Unsigned but a known design by Berndt.
Viktor Berndt (1919-98) was a Swedish glass designer. He joined Flygsfors in 1956 and became artistic director there in 1959, a post he held until the 1970s. He worked briefly at Orrefors from 1975-9. He is best known for his molded relief designs and glass lampshade designs. His work is held in museums worldwide.
