Jorma Laine necklace Kultateollisuus, Finland 1970

Necklace by Jorma Laine for Kultateollisuus. The total length, including both the chain and pendant, is 48 cm.  It has a full set of Finnish silver hallmarks for continental grade silver (830) and the year mark is for 1970. The chain is lso hallmarked 830 by Kultateollisuus and likely to be original.

Jorma Laine (1930-2002)   is known for his modernist, sculptural and abstract jewellery in silver and bronze from the 1960s and '70s.  He founded his own company, Silver-Laine, and worked as a designer for Kultateollisuus ky and Turun Hopea.
