Sven Palmqvist Orrefors miniature red glass bowl, Sweden 1950s

Red glass bowl, Orrefors, Sweden c1950s. Marked Orrefors to the base. Slightly misshapen suggesting an unsigned factory second. We think this can be attributed to Sven Palmqvist based on other items like this we have seen (i.e. model number PU 3272).

Excellent condition - factory second.

Sven Palmqvist (1906-84)  worked for Orrefors in Sweden from 1941 to 1971. As well as producing etched glass of high quality in the 1940s he went on to design a number of ranges often deploying new glass techniques such as the Kraka, Fuga and Ravenna series. He was a major figure in the development of Swedish glass.
