Swedish rana — a handwoven tapestry. This rana has a detailed design including rows of people — known as gubbaväv. It is woven in wool on a linen warp. It is 33.5cm wide and 55cm long, excluging the fringes which measure a further 15cm. The top is sewn back and here are three small metal rings for hanging this tapestry on a rod.
Excellent condition.
