Christine Tate hand painted Poole Pottery charger of Thomas Becket, 1970. Signed to the base.

Produced exclusively for the department store Ricemans of Canterbury in a limited edition of 25 to commemorate the 800th anniversary of the death of Saint Thomas Becket. Hand painted and based on a section of the Cathedral's stained glass window depicting the Saint. These were produced to co-incide with the festival held in Canterbury to celebrate the anniversary and were sold in the department store.
