Jens Qvistgaard Danish Teak Dansk Cheeseboard 1960s

A classic piece of Danish teak design. This cheeseboard was designed by Jens Qvistgaard for Dansk Designs in the USA in the 1960s.

Excellent used condition. A small area around a blemish in the wood surround is slightly rubbed.

Jens Qvistgaard (1919-2008) was a leading Danish designer who produced many designs for the US company Dansk designs from the 1950s to the 1980s. He helped to popularise the Scandinavian modern style as one of its leading industrial designers. He produced many stylish and affordable designes in wood, metal, ceramics and other materials.
