Erik Ohlqvist who sometimes went under the name Erik Lo studied in Sweden and Paris in the early 1950s. He travelled extensively in Europe and painted in a range of style. This is one of his more modernist works. His work is held at The Senate in Washington and Brooklyn Seamen's House in New York.
