An iconic stainless steel toast rack. This was designed by Arne Jacobsen for the Cylinda Line range for Stelton, Denmark in the 1960s. 

Excellent used condition, light surface markes to the underside.

Arne Jacobsen (1902-71) was a leading Danish architect and designer who was a pioneering exponent of the functionalist style. He was one of the leading figues in the development of Danish modernism. Influenced by Mies van der Rohe and Walter Gropius he went on to design many buildings including the SAS Royal Hotel and St Catherine's College, Oxford. He was also a leading designer of furniture and household wares including the famous Egg chair of Big Brother fame, the Ant chair and Swan chair.
