Annikki Hovisaari (1913-2004)  was a leading Finnish ceramicist who worked for the Art department at the Arabia factory in Helsinki, Finland from 1949-75. She specialised in rough textured chamotte clay ceramics with subtle glazes often in greens and blues. The style of her work reflects the turn to primitivism in Nordic design during the 1960s. Her work is known and collected internationally.
