Frans Slot Ceramic vase with volcanic/lava glaze in lilac. Signed and dated 1967.

Excellent used condition. Some fritting near the base from manufacture.

 

J. F. Slot (1909-1974) was a Dutch ceramicist based in Epe. He was a student of Chris Lanooy and ran his own studio for most of his career. He is known for his innovative use of glazes.
