Per Lutken Akva Glass Ice Bucket and Tongs Holmegaard Denmark 1950s

Per Lutken designed “Akva” glass ice bucket with a wicker handle. The bucket comes with tongs and a drip tray. This was made by the Danish glass makers Holmegaard in the 1950s and has a maker’s mark etched on the base.

Excellent used condition.

Per Lutken (1916-98) was a leading Danish glass designer. He joined Holmegaard in 1942 and worked for them until his death in 1998 producing thousands of designs over the course of his career.  His name is synonymous with Danich mid-century glass design and helped establish Holmegaard as a leading maker of stylish modern glass.
