This beautiful statement bracelet was produced by Jorma Valo and is typical of his workshop's designs in the 1970s. It has a very stylised floral design and the beaded edges to the links are defined and enhanced by light oxidation of the silver.

It is in excellent vintage condition, It bears a full set of Finnish silver hallmarks, though the date letter is worn away. The safety chain is a later replacement.

Jorma Valo (1929-2014) was born in Russia but moved to Finland as a child. His workshop, Valo-Koru Oy, started modestly but grew to employ many including, most notably, the designer Hannu Ikonen.
