Rare large bronze kinetic pendant on chain by K. E. Palmberg for Alton, Sweden c 1970s. The kinetic elements hang from a 7.5 cm curved bar attached to the chain — a 3 cm roundel inside a hollow square of 5 x 5 cm. The roundel is decorated with textured concentri rings. The chain length is approximately 70 cm and is made up of unusual elongate links.

The pendant is marked Alton with K. E. Palmberg in script. Excellent vintage condition.

Alton was a leading Swedish silver jewellery company in Falkoping between 1946 – 96. Significant modernist designers who worked for Alton include Karl-Erik Palmberg, Theresia Hvorslev and Per Dåvik.
