Peter Beard (1951 - ) studied at Ravensbourne College of Art in London in the 1970s. He began making his own pots in 1975. Based in Leamington Spa in Warwickshire, he produces both thrown vessels and hand-built sculptures with his recognisable use of oxidised glazes often in blues, greens and greys developed by using wax resist techniques. He has exhibited worldwide.
